Pre-Sales Consultancy

Purchasing IT equipment can be expensive and it is therefore essential that you be advised upon your requirements for both hardware and software. Professional Link offers a free of charge consultancy service to gather information about your business and your current system from which we will then make recommendations and demonstrate the features of the software that will fulfil your business requirements.

Installation

We are able to install and configure all the servers, workstation and peripherals that we supply.
All installation services are chargeable at our current standard hourly rate plus a small charge for mileage expenses. We will charge by the hour or part thereof and do not include travel time.

Training

All training is carried out on your premises using your own data. This ensures that the data being used is meaningful to you and also results in significant amounts of configuration being undertaken on your system during the course of the training cycle.
As with installation services, all training is chargeable at our current standard hourly rate plus a small charge for mileage expenses. We will charge by the hour or part thereof and do not include travel time.

Telephone \ Internet Support

All of our software products are supported by our team of specialists from Monday to Friday 9am to 5.00pm excluding public and bank holidays. All calls that you make to Professional Link are logged on our internal support system and passed to the relevant member of staff. All contracts state that we will respond to your queries within 8 working hours however, in practise, we hope to respond to the majority within 1 hour and in a vast number of cases, calls are taken and completed immediately. Support contracts are invoiced annually in advance.

Bespoke Programming

The company has conducted various assignments for clients to develop bespoke applications for their businesses. Such applications are undertaken using Microsoft Visual Basic and the inherent Jet engine database. Examples of work recently undertaken include a nightclub entry system, a touch-screen registered office board for a firm of accountants and a booking system for train trips.

Data Cabling

The majority of today’s network applications require minimum network speeds of 100Mbps and benefit greatlyby increasing to 1Gbps . As such it may be necessary to install a new cable infrastructure within your premises. Professional Link can arrange for a team of specialist to survey your premises and recommend accordingly.

Book keeping and Management Accounts

Having employees who are accountancy trained allows the company to offer services over and above that which you would normally expect from an information technology supplier. Professional Link carries out monthly assignments for a variety of clients ranging from pure book keeping to production of monthly management accounts.
